Framing Foreman
- Sioux Falls, SD
The Foreman is responsible for implementing major, complex construction projects. The foreman will provide direction to field employees and subcontractors while performing their job; shall contribute to planning, work schedules, and major decision-making regarding work methods. The Foreman works closely with the project managers and subcontractors to ensure all major construction work is completed and complies with project requirements and regulatory specifications safely, on time, and operating within the assigned budget.
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze the project plans and specifications.
- Determine materials, equipment, and procedures required to achieve desired results
- Determine and abide by safety procedures based on job site conditions
- Oversee and ensure that all safety rules and quality standards are being followed at all times
- Ensure workforce and resources are adequate
- Be the liaison between construction workers and supervisors
- Ensure that a project is adequately staffed
- Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans
- Produce work schedules in accordance with the availability of employees and contractors and monitor the attendance of crew
- Coordinate daily tasks according to priorities and plans, adjusting as necessary due to weather, supply delivery, and personnel
- Ensure that the project is staying on or under budget
- Mentor, manage, and train employees and contractors
- Supervise and train workers
- Resolve conflicts or miscommunication that may happen on-site quickly and amicably
- Report project status to project manager and superintendent.
Foreman requirements and qualifications
- Proven experience as a construction foreman
- Ability to delegate responsibilities and individual projects to the crew and contractors.
- In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSH guidelines
- U understanding of use and maintenance of electrical and hydraulic systems
- Ability to read drawings, plans, and blueprints
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to communicate and report effectively
- Aptitude in math and strong problem-solving abilities
- High school diploma or diploma in a skilled trade (drywall, Framing, etc.)
Forman requirements and qualifications
- Proven experience as a construction foreman

- Fluency in English; Spanish a plus
