The Deffenbaugh Way: Working With You

Introduction

At our initial meeting, we will listen to your plans, dreams, and the questions you have regarding your next home. During this meeting, we will learn about each other to determine if we are the right builder for you.

Conceptual Design

This is where it starts to get real. This phase involves developing and finalizing the house design, specifying some high-level material details and detailing the models to the point of an official “bid set” for quoting and construction.

Pre-Construction

This is the most important step of your home project. We dive deep into the details of the design, materials, and fixtures. Our team reviews the plans with you. We carefully consider every part of the house and landscaping, and look at all available options.

The goal of this phase is to find any hidden gaps in the project. We want to identify the materials, appliances, fixtures, and even the landscaping plan before we calculate the project cost.

Our Project Manager will review the information. They will write project specifications, request quotes, and present the best bid for your home. We are calculating the cost based on specific data for your house — not averages or what previous builds cost.

Construction Phase

Nothing should look like an afterthought. During this phase, our team provides thorough communication, thoughtful craftsmanship, maximizes productivity and minimizes issues.

We believe you should complete a house in a reasonable timeframe that keeps you excited and the vision fresh. In the early stages of the build, we will carefully curate any materials that we have not finalized. We will do this with you, the interior designer, and our team.

Like any good neighbor, our team is never too far away. If you need us, we’ll be there for you, whether it’s maintenance-related or simply to check in.
